Peter's Sunset Beach Resort · Lake Minnewaska, MN
This agenda was built off the last reunion and framed out together — it's a proposal, not a contract. If something doesn't work for you or you have a better idea, reply to the planning email or leave a note in the survey.
A few things to keep in mind as you read through it: golf on Saturday morning and fishing on Sunday morning are both completely optional. The kitchen is always open — meal service happens at set times so everyone eats together, but if you're a late riser or need a snack at midnight, help yourself. And if you need to disappear for a nap, a walk, or just some quiet, the schedule is yours to use as loosely as you'd like.
Get here. Find your people. Settle in.
Lodge check-in opens · Come straight to Pezhekee
Lodge guests skip the resort front desk — head directly to Pezhekee Lodge. Everyone else, come find us there too. People will trickle in through the afternoon at different times. Settle in, catch up, grab a drink from the bar. Friday is just about being here together.
Caravan to Rolling Forks Vineyards
Once we're gathered at the lodge we'll head out together — about 15 minutes from the resort. Vineyard dinner: wood-fired pizza, wine, and good light. Family photos while we're there. Sunset in July is around 9 PM so the light is excellent. Someone volunteer to play photographer.
Snacks, desserts, and the lodge
Back from the vineyard — snacks and desserts are stocked. Bonfire is available if anyone wants it, the resort lights it on request. No agenda from here, just the first night together.
Golf. Games. Mediterranean night. Fuego.
Morning walk optional
Meet in the kitchen. The road along the lake and the resort property are both good routes. No pace, no plan.
Golf · Pezhekee National Golf Course sign up in survey
18 holes on the resort's championship course right across the road. Meet at the pro shop and arrive a few minutes early. Ten free greens fees are included with the lodge rental. Sign up in the survey so we know who's using them and whether you need clubs.
Yoga on the deck optional
Meet on the lodge deck. Mats are not provided — bring one if you have it. Easy hour, good views, no experience required.
Breakfast · Kitchen open from 9
Sausage, scrambled eggs, toast and GF bread, baked sweets, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit, nut butter. Pancakes and waffles available anytime. Coffee is going from early — come when you're ready. The kitchen stays open all day; this is just when the full spread is out.
Free time — the lake is right there
Beach, dock, game room, hammock, a second cup of coffee — Saturday morning is unscheduled on purpose. Use it however you want before the afternoon gets going.
Lunch · Self-serve from noon
Graze as you want or pack a lunch for the beach. Deli meats, cheese board, a green salad and a grain salad, pita, GF crackers, hummus, cut veg, something sweet. Golfers won't be back until around 2 PM. The kitchen is open — eat when it works for you.
Boats and beach sign up in survey
Pontoon, deck boat for tubing, kayaks, and paddleboards available through the resort. The lodge beach and dock are right there if you want to stay close to shore. Sign up in the survey so we know what to rent and for how many people.
Family Field Games Tournament
Teams, events, and bracket get sorted Saturday afternoon — we'll figure it out together. Expect chaos, competitive energy, and at least one person taking it too seriously. Everyone plays.
Mediterranean dinner — the aunts have the kitchen
The aunts have the kitchen. Expect grilled proteins, roasted vegetables, salads, hummus, pita and GF bread. Vegetarian options throughout — nothing to worry about if you don't eat meat. Show up hungry, say thank you, offer to clean up.
Fuego · Hang at the lodge
The resort lights the bonfire. Stay at the lodge or find a spot by the fire. No schedule from here.
Slower. Bigger brunch. Champions named.
Fishing excursion sign up in survey
Early out on Lake Minnewaska — walleye, northern pike, bass, crappie, bluegill, and perch are all in this lake. Back before brunch. MN fishing license required, get yours at the DNR ahead of time. The people who catch walleye could be the heroes of taco night. Just saying.
Morning walk optional
Meet in the kitchen. Same routes as Saturday — lake road or the property.
Yoga on the deck optional
Same spot as Saturday. Bring your own mat.
Sunday brunch — sit down together
The big one. Egg bakes, roasted vegetable hash, fresh fruit, pastries. Prepped Saturday night and finished in the morning. Coffee, juice, and mimosas. Come hungry and take your time.
Sports at the resort courts
Pickleball, volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball. Show up and play whatever's going. No bracket, no signup required.
Boats · Beach · Last afternoon on the water sign up in survey
Last real afternoon on the lake. Pontoon, deck boat, kayaks, paddleboards available. The beach and dock are right there if you just want to be near the water.
Cousins' taco bar
Cousins are cooking. Tortillas, seasoned beef or chicken, a plant-based protein option, rice, beans, all the toppings. If the fishing crew came through this morning there may be walleye tacos — no pressure, heroes. Show up hungry and say thank you.
Family games · Dance floor opens · Champions crowned
Last night together. Tournament standings come together, champions are named, bragging rights established. Dance floor is open. Bonfire if you want it. Stay up as long as the night lets you — rematches next reunion.
Bagels and lox. Long hugs. Drive safe.
Bagels and lox · Coffee · Goodbyes
Bagels, lox, cream cheese, capers, red onion. Coffee is going. Take your time with the goodbyes.
Pack up · Help clean · Take your leftovers
Lodge guests: strip your beds and leave linens in your room. Everyone pitch in for a sweep of the kitchen and common areas. Take whatever food you want from the fridge — leftovers go home with people, not in the trash.
Checkout — 12:30 PM for lodge guests
Lodge guests: 12:30 PM hard stop — pay at the resort front desk on the way out. If you're in a cabin or elsewhere on the resort, check your booking for your checkout time.
It's a guide, not a contract. The best moments of any reunion happen in the margins — the conversation that runs long, the unplanned swim, the thing a kid starts that turns into a new tradition.
The only fixed things are dinner times, checkout Monday, and the activities you signed up for. Everything else breathes. If you have ideas or want to help organize something, tell us in the survey. We're building this together.
