Welcome, everyone. We're so glad you're coming.
Four days together with good people on good water. Lake Minnewaska, July 2026.

Fill it out β4,500 sq ft on the lake. 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, 16 beds, 2 kitchens, 100 ft of private beach. If you're staying in the house, everything you need to know is here.
Pezhekee was a Dakota chief whose band traveled to what is now Pope County and camped along the shores of this lake. The Dakota called the water here "good water" β Minnewaska. The lake held three generations of stories, including a warrior maiden named Minnewaska herself, who eventually gave her name to these waters permanently.
The lodge you're sleeping in, the golf course you're playing on, and the lake you're jumping into all carry that name forward. Worth knowing before you arrive.
Much of this comes from "The Tribe of Pezhekee," an 1901 novel by Alice Otillia Thorson, a Glenwood native. Legend and history are tangled here β as they often are on old water.
