This is it

Boats. Bonfires. Taco bars.
The whole loud beautiful family.

This weekend is about being together β€” not sightseeing, not itineraries, not checking things off a list. It's about showing up in the same place at the same time and letting the rest happen. Browse the agenda so you know the rough shape of things. Fill out the survey so we can take care of you. Everything else is just being present.

Add your photos for the slideshow.

We're running a family slideshow on Saturday night. Add your photos β€” old ones, family ones, anything you'd want the whole family to see on the big screen.

PEZHEKEE
About this place

The name on your door has a story.

Pezhekee was a Dakota chief whose band traveled to what is now Pope County and camped along the shores of this lake. The Dakota called the water here "good water" β€” Minnewaska. The lake held three generations of stories, including a warrior maiden named Minnewaska herself, who eventually gave her name to these waters permanently.

The lodge you're sleeping in, the golf course you're playing on, and the lake you're jumping into all carry that name forward. Worth knowing before you arrive.

Much of this comes from "The Tribe of Pezhekee," an 1901 novel by Alice Otillia Thorson, a Glenwood native. Legend and history are tangled here β€” as they often are on old water.
